Bourne, Sandwich battle brush fire

BOURNE – Bourne and Sandwich firefighters were called out about 6 PM to battle a brush fire off Hilltop Road along the power lines in South Sagamore near the Sandwich line. State DCR forestry units were also on scene. Bourne Firefighters posted 1-2 acres were burning.

Command on the scene reported the fire under control about 7 PM but crews would stay on scene wetting down the area.
