BOURNE – On Saturday morning, Bourne Firefighters responded to a landfill fire located at the DPW off MacArthur Boulevard (Route 28) where a large compost pile had caught fire. The department utilized a brush breaker truck to set up a water shuttle. The compost pile was extinguished using the efficient deck guns of Engine 121 and Engine 122 as well as small hand lines from Breaker 128.
