New details: Two vehicle crash leaves car on its roof in Yarmouth



YARMOUTH – A two-vehicle crash left one car on its roof in Yarmouth. A Yarmouth Police officer came upon the crash at Long Pond Drive and Forest Road just after 9 AM. Two people in the overturned vehicle had to be extricated. Luckily all of the injuries appear non-life-threatening. Traffic detours were likely in the area.

From Yarmouth Police: A Yarmouth Police Officer was heading North on Forest Road just after 9 AM Wednesday morning, when a two car crash occurred in front of her. The crash, involving two sport utility vehicles, happened at the intersection of Forest Road and Long Pond Drive, leaving one car overturned on its roof.

The officer who witnessed the crash radioed for emergency response and within moments Yarmouth Fire and Police were on scene attending to the occupants and managing traffic. The roadway was temporarily closed while crews worked the scene.

All three occupants of both cars were transported to Cape Cod Hospital with minor injuries. A short time later, the roadway was clear and reopened to traffic.
