FALMOUTH – Falmouth firefighters were called to the scene of a fireat the Estia Falmouth restaurant on Main Street in Falmouth Friday morning. An automatic fire alarm summoned fire crews about 4:30 AM. Officials remained on scene for several hours chasing hot spots in a wall between a pizza oven and a bathroom. No injuries were reported.
From Falmouth Fire-Rescue: At 4:30 AM Friday morning March 24, 2023, Falmouth Emergency Communications dispatched Engine 21 to a commercial fire alarm for the Estia Restaurant at 117 Main Street. Upon arrival, The crew from Engine 21 gained access to the building and encountered a smoke condition. Engine 21 officer requested an upgrade to a first alarm assignment. The fire was located in an interior space in the wall between the restaurant, kitchen, and bathroom. The fire was extinguished. However, there was significant smoke and water damage on the first floor. The fire remains under investigation by the Fire Rescue Investigation Unit.
