BOURNE – The Bourne Braves are the 2022 Cape Cod Baseball League champions after beating the Brewster Whitecaps in the best-of-three title series.
The Braves won the second game of the series Thursday evening by a score of 8-1.
It was a rematch of last year’s title bout and third time Bourne and Brewster faced off in the finals since 2017. Brewster won both of those matchups.
It is the first time that the Braves have finished atop the league since 2009, and their second time winning it all in their history.
