DENNIS – Dennis Fire reports that at 7:28 AM, they responded to a structure fire at 3 Allain Way. When Dennis Fire units arrived, they found fire rolling up the backside of a three-story apartment building. The occupants of the units escaped when they heard a crackling sound and glass breaking from the fire. Firefighters we able to search the 3 units and remove the family pets. Firefighters stretched two hose lines to stop the fire from going further into the building as they extinguished the fire. Dennis fire received assistance from Yarmouth fire at the scene. Cause of the fire is under investigation with all indicators pointing to careless disposal of smoking material. There were no reported injuries to any occupants or firefighters.
