PLYMOUTH – The Massachusetts Department of Public Health recently approved the opening of 10, new single inpatient rooms at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth.
The rooms are located on the second and third floors of the East Building with five of the rooms on each floor.
The additional rooms were needed due to the hospital’s substantial increase in patient volume over the last three years since becoming part of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center family of hospitals.
Since joining with BIDMC in 2014, BID-Plymouth’s inpatient volume has grown more than 28 percent and is one of the fastest growing community hospitals in Massachusetts.
A new color scheme, additional hand rails and family space as well as energy-efficient windows and lighting are just some of the upgrades that are now setting the standard for inpatient rooms at BID-Plymouth.
