YARMOUTH – A Yarmouth man is scheduled for arraignment today in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins and drug offenses.
23-year-old Richard Gary Mayo was arrested by Yarmouth police on Friday on a heroin charge. Officers say their interview with Mayo helped connect him to a series of breaking and entering incidents in the area of Forest Road.
Police say Mayo would sell the stolen items for drug money. A search of Mayo’s mother’s home in South Yarmouth turned up a number of items believed to have been stolen, according to police.
Mayo is charged with heroin possession, two counts breaking and entering, and two counts of larceny over $250.
The investigation is ongoing.
