Wellfleet's own Susan Bachman and Pat Bartlett will be sharing a slide show, souvenirs and information about their 3 week trip to mainland China (PRC) last fall. Susan will share her reaction upon returning to China after 7 years, and Pat will tell about her impressions of visiting this ancient and modern country for the first time. Their trip was different in that it was not a professionally organized tour. Instead of hotels, they slept in hostels, and at one point even stayed in an apartment of a Chinese couple. They also spent an afternoon visiting classes of 11th grade students in the school where Susan had taught. These and many other adventures gave them unusual experiences and a unique look at the Chinese people and their culture.
