Harwich firefighters battle fire in large pile of construction debris at landfill

HARWICH – About 1:30 this afternoon the Department responded to the Construction Debris area at the landfill for a fire.

On arrival companies found a large pile of construction debris heavily involved in fire. Engine 64 and Engine 65 worked for about an hour with a loader from the landfill to knock down and extinguish the fire.
