Attention CapeCod.com Email Account Holders, This is your final reminder message notifying you that CapeCod.com email service will not be available from 5 PM on FRIDAY, AUGUST 10 through SUNDAY, AUGUST 12, 2007 so please plan accordingly.
In order to access your mail after Sunday you will need to type in your FULL EMAIL ADDRESS as your User Name. For example, instead of "myname" you will need to type "myname@capecod.com" to log in via web mail or POP3/SMTP. No other mail setting changes will be required and your password will remain the same.

July 19, 2007 - Mail Server Administrative Notice: (5PM) FRIDAY, AUGUST 10 - SUNDAY, AUGUST 12, 2007 YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE so please plan accordingly. All mail sent to any CapeCod.com email account during this upgrade will be delivered when the mail server returns to operation.
During this upgrade we will be updating the mail server software to bring you a new interface that includes many requested features such as an inbox message preview window, robust Anti-Spam improvements, enhanced Anti-Virus protection and the ability to import/export contact lists via ".CSV" files.
PLEASE take the time now to clean out your mail by purging (deleting) messages online, especially your spam and deleted folders.
April 4 , 2007 - Alert: Beware of messages sent from Spoofed (forged) E-mail Addresses: if you receive an UNSOLICITATED email message that states a problem with your email account or asks for your personal information, please do NOT respond or open the attachment and it is recommended to delete the message immediately. An example of the fraudulant message contains:

Subject "Warning Message: Your services near to be closed"
Again, this is NOT a legitimate message and may infect your computer with a virus or the original sender is trying to get your personal information; please delete the message immediately! For additional information on Internet scams, please visit our Email Support section.
March 8, 2007 Website Administrative Notice: Due to scheduled maintenance, the CapeCod.com web site will be unavailable this evening between the hours of 9pm and 11pm. This will not affect the mail server or mail delivery.

This cause of this is unknown but may be due to heavy Internet traffic. It appears that CapeCod.com is not the only site experiencing this problem.
MSN Hotmail's support website also reported the following network status information on Monday, 06 November 2006 11:10:00 GMT:
"Network Status for Hotmail - Mail. Feature: Mail delivery latency. Due to a temporary problem with Hotmail, Windows Live Mail, MSN, and MSN Partner e-mail services, messages that you send or receive may be delayed. Please allow mail more time to arrive."
November 3, 2006 - Notice to TTLC ISP customers: The ability for TTLC dial-up customers using an email client (such as Outlook Express) to send mail using their CapeCod.com account has been disrupted - meaning some users may not be able to send mail. The ability to receive mail is not affected. Note that all CapeCod.com email account users can send messages via webmail at http://mail.capecod.com regardless of your Internet Service Provider. If you are a TTLC customer and are no longer able to send mail using an email client (such as Outlook Express), you will need to contact TTLC for assistance with setting up your SMTP (send mail) configuration.
October 27, 2006 - Update: Only the CapeCod.com mailserver was inaccessible on Thursday, October 26, 2006 between the hours of 10 pm and 12 am. During the maintenance, mail was temporarily held but all mail has been delivered by 12 noon today.
However, any website visitor that submitted a form on this website to contact the CapeCod.com staff should resend the message.
October 26, 2006 - Notice: Due to scheduled maintenance, the CapeCod.com website and mailserver may be inaccessible for about 1 hour between 7 pm and 12 am.

February 8, 2006 - UPDATE: In order to give you more control with filtering SPAM and messages mistakenly identified as SPAM (false positives), all mail tagged as potential junkmail ("SPAM added to subject line) will now be routed directly to your main mail box so you may choose any program to filter your email.
